Are you a strategic thinker with a flair for digital storytelling and team leadership?
HAYS Marketing is working in partnership on an exclusive Marketing & Communications Manager appointment where the successful candidate will have the chance to shape the voice of a respected industry body that plays a pivotal role in raising professional standards across the UK and Ireland’s heating and energy sectors.
As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will lead the day-to-day marketing function and activities and drive brand engagement across multiple platforms.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and External Affairs, you will be joining a collaborative marketing team and will manage two talented marketing officers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the development and execution of the organisation’s marketing strategy and annual business plan
- Overseeing digital communications, including website (Umbraco CMS), social media, and online forums
- Managing trade events and exhibitions — both physical and digital
- Coordinating newsletters and quarterly magazine production for a national technician audience
- Supporting internal stakeholders with marketing materials and campaign planning
- Ensuring seamless integration between marketing and PR activities
- Conducting research and maintaining key marketing statistics
- Managing and coaching two marketing officers
What You’ll Bring
- Degree-level education and a CIM qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong copywriting, presentation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently with precision and creativity
- Experience with website publishing, social media, and event coordination
- Systems experience using Canva, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, (CRM) Photoshop and InDesign
- Desirable: knowledge of print production, publication workflows, and web development
