Marine Technician/Broker Support Technician– independent Lloyd’s Broker - up to £60,000

Your new job working as a Marine Technician/Broker Support will be working within one of the UK’s leading independent Lloyd’s brokers. Located in the city and throughout the UK these brokers make it a priority to understand every detail of client’s businesses and work in partnership to provide a complete service to their customers. The company offer unbiased access to the market and places cover with an established insurer network. They are a national business operating out of regional offices across the UK, acting internationally with global specialists. They offer innovative and intelligent risk advice and insurance programmes designed to confidently provide clients a service to protect their risks. Due to growth within one of their Marine Division a role has arisen for a Marine Technician/Broker Support role to work as part of their established Marine team. This role is based in the office 3 or 4 days a week.

Your new role

Your new role working as a Marine Technician/Broker Support Technician means your role will include working closely with the Brokers for full Broker Back Up duties as well as being able to undertake some broking duties on occasions. You will be responsible for the preparation of MRC slips and endorsements, producing reports as well as , evidence of cover and addenda’s. This role will also involve maintaining existing relationships with clients. Areas of Marine you will be dealing with is Marine Hull, Liability, P&I and Charters Liability.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Technician or Broker Support business handling Marine Hull will contribute to your success in securing this role. A minimum of a Cert CII qualification is preferred. Also, you will have confident and effective telephone and PC skills, including Microsoft Office, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with both clients and colleagues and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
