Job Opportunity | Manufacturing Operator II – Basingstoke

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Operator II is responsible for supporting the production process by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instruction Documents, and blueprints/drawings related to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.

Job Title : Manufacturing Operator II

Location Onsite – Basingstoke (Wade Road)

Employment Type : Full-time, 6‑month contract

Hours: 40 hours/week

Overtime: Available

Shift Pattern Weekly rotating shifts:

  • Week 1: Monday–Friday | 06:00–14:00
  • Week 2: Monday–Friday | 14:00–22:00

Pay Rate : £13.20 per hour (excluding 20% shift) allowance)

Start Date : ASAP

Interview Process 1 stage – Onsite interview (30 minutes)

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow manufacturing SOPs and GMP requirements
  • Complete production floor documentation accurately (weights, dates, times, etc.)
  • Start, stop, and monitor conveyor systems
  • Assist with equipment validation
  • Read and interpret work orders; set up materials accurately on production lines
  • Inspect materials, products, and containers at each stage of the process
  • Fill, weigh, adjust, close, seal, label, and pack containers
  • Perform line clearance, including reconciliation and disposal of materials
  • Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, and tools
  • Maintain housekeeping and quality standards in line with ISO/cGMP regulations
  • Use PPE correctly and comply with chemical hygiene and safety requirements.

Experience

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production environment (or relevant training)

Skills & Abilities

  • Attention to detail and quality focus
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammatic instructions
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
  • Comfortable using manufacturing systems (e.g. QAD, AGILE)
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Full English language proficiency
