A Manufacturing Manager job opportunity based near to Warrington with a pioneering engineering organisation

Your new company

A long‑established engineering business in Warrington is looking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations across a fast‑paced, high‑mix production environment. This is a key role within a growing organisation, offering the scope to shape processes, drive performance, and influence long‑term strategy.

Your new role

You’ll take full ownership of day‑to‑day manufacturing activities, ensuring output, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved. Working closely with engineering, planning, and supply chain teams, you’ll lead continuous improvement initiatives and embed a culture of operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and developing a multi‑disciplinary production team
  • Driving OEE, productivity, and quality improvements
  • Implementing lean manufacturing tools and best practice
  • Ensuring compliance with H&S and regulatory standards
  • Supporting NPI and engineering change activity
  • Managing KPIs, resource planning, and performance reviews

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role within engineering or industrial production
  • Strong understanding of lean methodologies and modern manufacturing principles
  • A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate and influence teams
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
