Be part of a team driving manufacturing innovation

This is an opportunity to join a business that’s serious about transformation. Operating from a facility in Lincoln, they’ve already optimised one manufacturing cell and have a clear appetite to bring more automation into the mix. With a highly collaborative culture and a sharp focus on continuous improvement, this is a role where your ideas will matter, and your impact will be visible.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll work alongside the Principal Manufacturing Engineer to redesign processes from the ground up. You’ll help strengthen existing manufacturing cells, support new product introductions, and embed Lean principles into everything you do. From conducting PFMEA's and designing tooling to validating processes and creating clear work instructions, you’ll be at the heart of a transformation that improves lead times, enhances quality, and makes production more efficient.

This is a hands-on role, blending manual processes with automation, and you’ll play a key part in shaping what comes next.

What you’ll be doing
  • Design and implement efficient manufacturing processes and tooling
  • Conduct PFMEA's and resolve process challenges with practical solutions
  • Collaborate with R&D and operations to integrate new products seamlessly
  • Support automation projects to reduce manual work and boost efficiency
  • Validate processes and create clear documentation for consistency and compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma principles

What you’ll bring
  • A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in process design and optimisation for small to medium-volume assembly
  • Practical knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and operational excellence
  • Experience supporting automation initiatives is a plus
  • Familiarity with CAD or process simulation tools would be advantageous
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach

This is a chance to make a tangible difference in a business that values innovation and teamwork. If you’re ready to turn ideas into action and help shape the future of a UK manufacturer, we’d love to hear from you.
