Management Accountant required in Radstock

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll play a key role in supporting the business by producing accurate budgets, forecasts, and management accounts, while advising on financial decisions and ensuring compliance with statutory and internal policies.
This is a pivotal business partnering role, working closely with the operational side of the business. Responsibilities include managing financial systems, supporting internal audits, leading on procurement and contracts, and contributing to statutory reporting such as VAT returns and financial planning.
We’re seeking someone with strong analytical and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll need to succeed

Core Skills & Experience
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Ability to produce accurate budgets, forecasts, and management accounts.
  • Business Partnering: Experience working closely with operational finance to support financial decision-making.
  • Compliance & Controls: Understanding of statutory financial requirements and internal policies, including VAT returns and audit processes.
  • Systems Knowledge
  • Procurement & Contracts: Ability to lead on procurement activities and manage contracts effectively.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Able to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly.
  • Excellent Communication: Comfortable explaining financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
  • Time Management: Capable of prioritising tasks in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Works well with others and contributes to a supportive team culture.
