Management Accountant
Location: Chester – Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: Up to £42,000 + Study Support
Contract: Permanent, Full Time

The Role

A well‑established organisation in Chester is seeking a Part‑Qualified Management Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role would suit someone looking to progress their studies while gaining broad exposure to management accounting, reporting, and business partnering within a supportive environment.
The position offers hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

-Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary
-Month‑end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments
-Variance analysis against budget and forecast
-Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow reporting
-Balance sheet reconciliations and review
-Assist with year‑end accounts and audit queries
-Provide financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions
-Work with non‑finance stakeholders to explain performance
-Support continuous improvement of finance processes and controls

About You

-Part‑qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
-Experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role
-Strong understanding of month‑end processes
-Good Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
-Organised, proactive and keen to develop
-Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
