• Preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, working with departmental managers
• Providing financial insight to support decision‑making and operational performance
• Partnering with non‑finance stakeholders to improve understanding of financial performance
• Monitoring financial performance against budgets and highlighting risks and opportunities
• Supporting year‑end accounts and audit processes
• Assisting with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting schedules
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and systems

What you'll need to succeed

• Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience within housing, public sector or not‑for‑profit is beneficial but not essential.
