Your new company
A well known business on the outskirts of Bath ( Radstock side) are looking to appoint a commercially minded qualified / part-qualified accountant to provide support to the day-to-day finance function and deliver timely management accounts.

Your new role
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for delivering monthly management accounts including posting journals, accruals, and prepayments and variance analysis.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Implementing accounting policies and procedures and ensuring that these are adhered to.
• Monthly payroll journals.
• Maintaining the Fixed asset register
• Stock adjustments.
• Financial reporting and analysis.
• Creating forward-looking budgeting models and feeding into the Group budgeting process.
• Producing monthly budget statements and leading the Departmental Performance Reviews.
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts.
• Assisting with the annual audits.
• Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing cover for the Financial Accountant when necessary.
• Supporting the Head of Finance and Deputy Head of Finance where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a Management Accounting role.
• ACCA / CIMA / ACA part qualified
• Excellent communication skills.
• Advanced IT and Excel skills and confident with large volumes of data.
• Comfortable and experienced with working with different stakeholders.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and forward-thinking.
