Management Accountant job in Ayrshire
Your new company
Based in Ayrshire, our client is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday–Thursday 8.30am–5pm and Friday 8.30am–4pm. The role is office-based, and it is advisable (but not essential) that applicants have access to their own transport.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting, with a particular focus on inventory control. This is a hands-on role offering exposure across the business and the opportunity to add real value. Your key duties will include;
- Daily inventory control, analysis, and reporting
- Management of P&L variance accounts
- Completion of allocated balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing of month-end stock reconciliations
- Delivery of key reports including transactional and balance sheet reconciliations
- Waste management analysis and reporting
- Monthly gross margin revenue analysis
- Tank farm and works order monitoring, analysis, and reporting
- Ensuring controls are in place for accurate financial reporting
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including auditors
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will ideally be (but not essentially) part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, and/or have equivalent industry experience. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a manufacturing environment and demonstrate strong IT skills, particularly in Excel. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. A strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret and communicate data clearly will be key to your success.
