Your new role
Based in a beautifully renovated building with views of the Lake District, the Finance team supports both the training division and a portfolio of hospitality operations. Due to continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a talented Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, analysing performance against budget, and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of group VAT return
- Providing regular functional analysis
- Assisting with the year-end audit processes
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting policies
- Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions across the group
The office is commutable from Ambleside, Ulverston, Keswick, Windermere, Kendal etc.
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT qualified, working towards a relevant qualification or QBE candidates are all considered
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An aptitude for IT – knowledge of intermediate Excel and accounting systems essential
- High attention to detail and organisational skills

- Annual Salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience

- Full-time permanent role, Monday to Friday 9-5pm, 1 hour lunch
