Your new role

Based in a beautifully renovated building with views of the Lake District, the Finance team supports both the training division and a portfolio of hospitality operations. Due to continued growth, a new opportunity has arisen for a talented Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, analysing performance against budget, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of group VAT return
  • Providing regular functional analysis
  • Assisting with the year-end audit processes
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with accounting policies
  • Monthly reconciliation of intercompany transactions across the group

What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT qualified, working towards a relevant qualification or QBE candidates are all considered
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • An aptitude for IT – knowledge of intermediate Excel and accounting systems essential
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Annual Salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
