Your new role

As an Accountant, you’ll be responsible for providing financial support across various departments, helping to ensure accurate reporting, budget monitoring, and strategic financial planning. Whether you're part-qualified or fully qualified, you’ll be encouraged to grow in the role, with study support available to help you achieve your professional goals. What you'll need to succeed

You’ll need to be a part or fully qualified accountant with experience in a financial environment — this doesn’t need to be within local government. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly are essential. You’ll also need a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English, and a proactive, organised approach to work. Experience with financial management systems will be beneficial.
