Your new role
The client is seeking a Management Accountant to join the team on a rolling basis (minimum 3 months). Key responsibilities include:
  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial reports to support strategic decision-making across banking operations.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor departmental and operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within banking services.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with finance teams, business units, and senior management to provide financial insights and support performance reviews.
  • Assist in identifying financial risks and implementing controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools, driving automation and accuracy.
  • Provide financial input into strategic projects, including product launches, system upgrades, and regulatory changes.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, with proven experience working in a banking environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Financial Services/banking processes.
  • Strong numeracy skills and understanding of financial statements
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in Financial Change would be advantageous.
