The Role

LifeScan is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Engineer to help keep their manufacturing plant and facilities running safely, efficiently and reliably. This is a hands‑on engineering role, supporting manufacturing equipment by day and facilities plant during night shift cover. Ideal for an electrically and mechanically skilled engineer with strong fault-finding experience in a regulated environment. Join a collaborative team where reliability, safety and continuous improvement matter.

Shift Pattern

12-hour shifts (7am – 7pm) & (7pm – 7am) working 4 on 4 off.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience is essential, as well as good working knowledge of pneumatic systems and PLC‑controlled equipment and an ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
Experience in performing planned and unplanned maintenance and a background working in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will need to be familiar with CMMS and document management systems and have experience with low and extra‑low voltage systems along with a logical, methodical approach to fault-finding and problem-solving. You will need to be well-organised, proactive and comfortable managing your own workload and be a team‑focused engineer with clear communication skills.

What You’ll Get in Return

Competitive hourly pay £25.00 per hour plus holiday accrual, weekly pay through PAYE and an opportunity to gain exposure to both manufacturing and facilities engineering.
