Maintenance Technician – Shifts
Your new company
You will be joining a well‑established manufacturing business based in Burnley, working as part of a dedicated on‑site Engineering Team. The company places a strong emphasis on safety, continuous improvement, and maintaining high operational standards across all departments. You’ll be part of a supportive environment where engineering plays a crucial role in keeping the site running efficiently and safely.
Your new role
- Responding rapidly to faults and breakdowns
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Conducting routine testing, calibration, and record keeping
- Working within a set engineering budget
- Liaising with external contractors when required
- Maintaining engineering data and documentation
- Supporting and promoting a strong health and safety culture
- Leading or contributing to projects aimed at improving efficiency
- Working in line with BRC standards
- Week on Days: 6am–6pm
- Week on Nights: 6pm–6am
Overtime:
- 1.5× hourly rate for the first 4 overtime hours per day
- 2× hourly rate for any additional overtime hours
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge
- Excellent time‑management abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and make good decisions in high‑pressure situations
- Strong understanding of health & safety standards
- Willingness to learn, develop, and adapt to new challenges
- Commercial awareness and ability to work efficiently within processes
- Accountability, initiative, and a positive, proactive mind‑set
