Your new role

The primary function of the role is to provide a responsive repair and void surveying service for the association.
To ensure that all owned and managed properties are maintained to the highest possible standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
To ensure staff, residents, leaseholders, managing agencies and property owners are provided with a high standard of service.
Based out of the Maidstone Office.

What you'll need to succeed

Desired

  • Experience as a surveyor in a maintenance environment carrying out pre- and post-inspections.
  • Experience of working with contractors using SOR and non-SOR contracts.
  • Knowledge of relevant and current codes of practice, building regulations, health and safety legislation, standards, and materials.
  • Knowledge of procurement law and different forms of contract.
  • Knowledge of contract management.
Essential
  • You must be customer focused, have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with colleagues, partners, and particularly our residents, both verbally and in writing.
  • You will also need the ability to work alone, be self-motivated and able to solve technical challenges as they arise; with an ability to produce detailed specifications of work for contractors and our in-house repair teams to follow.
  • Customer satisfaction is a priority whilst working efficiently and productively with Value for Money in mind.
  • Working safely is paramount, and you will require a strong awareness of and be required to understand written Risk and CoSHH Assessments; plus, the risks involved within working repair environments.
  • IT competent
  • Previous experience of web-based CRM's, Scheduling, and Reporting Platforms.
