Glasgow maintenance officer role available

Your new company
You’ll be joining a well‑established Housing Association that provides safe, quality homes and essential services to its communities. Due to increased demand across the property portfolio, the organisation is seeking short‑term support to keep maintenance operations running smoothly.

Your new role
As a Maintenance Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and overseeing day‑to‑day repairs and maintenance across the housing stock. You’ll manage incoming repair requests, liaise with contractors, carry out property inspections, ensure works are completed to the required standard, and support compliance activity where needed. Your role will be key in ensuring tenants receive a timely, reliable service.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in a maintenance, repairs, or property services role — ideally within social housing
  • Strong understanding of building maintenance, repair processes, and contractor management
  • Ability to carry out property inspections and identify required works
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with tenants and contractors
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to work independently
What you'll get in return
  • Competitive day rate
  • Opportunity to support a respected Housing Association during a key period
  • Flexible working arrangements depending on operational needs
  • A supportive team environment and meaningful work that directly impacts tenants’ homes
