Your New Role

Based within the maintenance team of a global manufacturing company, this role will offer the opportunity to work on highly automated equipment within a fast-moving, production environment. The “hands-on” element of this role will be varied, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of bespoke equipment.

You will be required to take ownership of production equipment maintenance activities and will be involved in project work and implementing solutions for continuous improvement.

Whilst working your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

To carry out all routine preventative maintenance requirements on injection moulding machines, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, material recycling and regrinding equipment • Maintain your working area around the machines/equipment • Repairs to granulators, extruders, water heaters, conveyor machinery in the event of a breakdown • Operating milling machines and lathes • Carrying out all aspects of welding – TIG/MIG/MAG • Maintain air leaks and production machine filters, clean/oil as required.

Maintain appropriate records • To supply all necessary information with regards to spare parts • To communicate, either in written or verbal form, information as required • To maintain your work areas to company 5S standards • Assist with the general factory maintenance as required • To take care of the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Must have time served recognised engineering apprenticeship • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics • Minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience, within the last 10 years • Be able to demonstrate an ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision • Must have machining, milling and turning experience within a manufacturing environment • Must have experience of TIG/MIG/Oxy welding.

What You'll Get In Return

This role offers a salary of £34000 for working an attractive, days only shift pattern with some flex on start times, earlier finish on a Friday and NO weekends. Shift start times are Mon - Thurs 07:00 - 15:30 + Fri 07:00 - 14:30 or Mon - Thurs 07:30 - 16:00 + Fri 07:30 - 15:00 or Mon - Thurs 08:00 - 16:30 + Fri 08:00 - 15:30. Standard pension and holidays.
