M&E Project Planner – Top Tier Building Services Contractor – Newtownabbey
Your new company
An established building services contractor who specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide range of off-site prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors throughout UK & Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to integrate a M&E Project Planner to support their Commercial and Contracts departments.
Your new role
- Be the go-to person and focal point within the business for Project programmes.
- Alongside the Operations Team, develop strategic programmes for each phase of Projects: Pre-construction, Delivery & Commissioning.
- Liaise with Estimating Department in assessing programme related Tender Documentation.
- Liaise with Commercial Department on Subcontract Packages.
- Work alongside site-based teams to update programmes based on true progress.
- Attend client programme meetings where required.
- Undertake risk analysis of live programmes to support Commercial and Operations teams.
- Review implications of programme change/slippage and, where necessary, create recovery programmes.
- Prepare monthly Programme Performance Reports for review with Senior Management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Third level qualification in a construction related discipline or can demonstrate an equivalent level of construction/site experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the M&E sector.
- Commercially astute.
- High standard of organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Programme Software’s such as Microsoft Project preferred – or similar.
- High level of IT literacy, especially in Microsoft Packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication & negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent client engagement skills.
