M&E Commissioning Manager required for a major project based in Belfast.
Your new company
One of Northern Ireland’s prominent M&E Contractors, with over 40 years of experience, is seeking an M&E Commissioning Manager for a multi-million pound project in Belfast. Renowned for its excellence in MEP Services, the company consistently provides top-tier engineering solutions across various sectors, including Commercial, Energy, Education, Health, Hotel & Leisure, Residential, and Retail.
Your new role
- Develop and manage the commissioning programme in alignment with the overall construction schedule.
- Coordinate commissioning activities across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BMS, and other building services.
- Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure commissioning requirements are met.
- Review and approve commissioning method statements, test plans, and inspection reports.
- Lead commissioning meetings and produce progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all systems are commissioned in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Manage witnessing and handover documentation, including O&M manuals and commissioning certificates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues on-site.
- Ensure health and safety compliance during all commissioning activities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Mechanical or Electrical Trades qualification or Degree/HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in MEP Commissioning management on large-scale construction projects
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and integration.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive commissioning activities to completion.
- Familiarity with CIBSE, BSRIA, and other relevant commissioning guidelines.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
