Lunchtime Supervisor (with SEND)
Job Opportunity: Lunchtime Supervisor (SEND Support) – Maghull
We are currently seeking a caring and committed Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team in Maghull. This part-time, term-time-only role runs Monday to Friday, approximately from 12:00am to 1:30pm, and offers a competitive hourly rate depending on experience.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) during the lunchtime period. You will help ensure that mealtimes are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all children.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with mealtime routines, helping pupils with food and seating arrangements, and supervising transitions between the dining hall and playground. You’ll also encourage positive social interaction and play, while promoting independence and offering appropriate support tailored to each child’s needs. Working closely with teaching and support staff, you’ll help implement strategies that foster a nurturing and respectful environment.

We’re looking for someone with patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting young people. While experience working with children—particularly those with SEND—is desirable, it’s not essential. What matters most is your ability to communicate effectively, follow safeguarding procedures, and work collaboratively as part of a team. A positive attitude and reliability are key to success in this role.
Full training will be provided, including safeguarding, SEND awareness, and behaviour support strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a school setting and make a meaningful impact on children’s lives.
