Your new company

Our client is a specialist contractor focused on the construction and installation of sporting facilities across the country. With their turnover looking to significantly increase, they are now seeking to appoint a Logistics Coordinator.

Your new role

To support the successful deployment of installations throughout the UK are completed in line with requirements, within budgets and to a timeline, the Logistics Coordinator must supervise and co-ordinate the shipment of goods from suppliers to the various locations throughout the UK. Working closely with our suppliers / freight agent, the candidate will keep track of the location of shipments, and supply the necessary paperwork to the appropriate authorities. Strong commercial understanding of the installation, strong focus on cost discipline at all times, representing the business in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by the installation. Ensure cost-effective and timely transport of goods to/from all overseas and UK destinations. Identify opportunities to optimise transport costs. Ensure compliance with statutory duties, regulations, and legislation, in particular understanding the regulations of controlled drugs in transit and storage.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree educated or be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience for successful delivery in the role. Professional qualification in the area of Logistics/Supply Chain desirable. Knowledge & experience in Logistics / freight forwarding and transformation of Logistics processes. Ability to work within a team and individually. Influence the activities of other departments without direct authority over them. Able to make decisions independently under time pressure. Competent using CRM software. Fluent in Spanish is highly desirable. An understanding of customs paperwork and experience in International Logistics.


What you'll get in return

A salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 with travel in the UK and Spain. 30 days annual leave and the opportunity to join a growing business.
