Job Role: Literacy Teacher

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

I am seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Literacy Teacher to join our forward-thinking secondary school in West Bromwich. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that places literacy at the heart of students’ learning journey, equipping them with the skills to thrive both academically and beyond the classroom.

✨ The Role
- Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons that focus on developing students’ confidence and competence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Inspire learners to see literacy as a foundation for success across all subjects and in life.
- Support a curriculum that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and communication.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards of teaching and learning.

About You

I am looking for someone who:
- Is passionate about literacy and its role in shaping young people’s futures.
- Has a strong classroom presence and the ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities.
- Can deliver lessons with creativity, clarity, and enthusiasm.
- Holds (or is working towards) QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
