Are you a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in Taunton? We are currently seeking a passionate Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming school environment, starting with a long-term assignment of at least 6 weeks, with opportunities for ongoing supply work afterwards.
The Role
- Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
- Location: Taunton, Somerset
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Long-term (minimum 6 weeks), with ongoing supply opportunities
- Working Pattern: Full-time preferred
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled TA to make a real difference in the classroom, supporting both teachers and pupils across Key Stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality classroom support to the teacher
- Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions to support pupil progress
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Support children with varying needs, including SEND where required
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
✅ Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Ability to support pupils across different ability levels
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic approach
