Hays Education are working in partnership with a Primary School in Bromborough, who are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and help shape a child’s educational journey.
We work closely with schools across the Wirral, offering both short and long-term opportunities that help build your experience and professional network.
Your new role
You will be supporting a pupil with an EHCP on a 1:1 basis, helping them access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions.
You’ll need to build strong relationships quickly, engage the pupil through creative and structured support, and maintain high professional standards. The role may involve working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on the pupil’s needs.
What you'll need to succeed
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
A working knowledge of the EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculum
DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
What you'll get in return
