Taunton | Part-Time to Full-Time | Start ASAP
Hays Education is recruiting a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within a primary school Early Years setting in Taunton. This is an immediate start role, beginning part-time on Tuesdays and Fridays, with a high likelihood of moving to full-time hours after the first couple of weeks. The position is expected to last for the entirety of Summer Term 2.
This role is ideal for a qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant seeking school-based Early Years work, with the opportunity for increased hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils within the EYFS classroom in a primary school setting
- Working alongside the class teacher to deliver the EYFS curriculum
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
- Supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Carrying out general classroom support and daily routines
Requirements:
- Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working in EYFS within a school setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a wider school team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
