Level 3 Early Years Practitioner role in Walsall, Starting in September

Hays Education are working in partnership with Primary School in Walsall to recruit a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join their nursery team from September 2025.

The primary school, located in Brownhills, is a welcoming and inclusive community school serving children aged 3 to 11 years. The school is known for its commitment to early childhood development, outdoor learning, and fostering a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. With a strong Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, the school provides a creative and supportive setting for both pupils and staff.

As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting a group of eight key children in the nursery setting. Your duties will include:

  • Monitoring and supporting children to achieve targets set by the class teacher
  • Recording progress and observations in each child’s learning journal
  • Attending Parents’ Evenings and providing feedback to parents/carers
  • Liaising regularly with the class teacher to ensure consistent support and planning
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment tailored to individual needs

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Has experience working with pre-school-aged children
  • Is confident in tracking progress and maintaining learning journals.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills with staff and families
  • Is passionate about early years education and child development.
