Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a vibrant two-form entry primary school in Warrington as they are seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage provision on a full-time basis to offer support across their pre-school and reception classes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment where inclusivity is at the heart of the school. The classroom includes several pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and we are looking for a dedicated professional who can support these learners and help every child thrive.


Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be joining an extremely supportive and professional EYFS team. You will build strong constructive relationships with your new colleagues and pupils, ensuring that each pupil reaches their full academic potential and that each lesson is stimulating and engaging. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Leading targeted speech and language sessions to support communication development
  • Building and enhancing pupils’ fine motor skills through engaging activities
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning support
  • Supporting the overall well-being and progress of children in EYFS

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, a minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience, and:

  • Be at least EYFS Level 2 qualified (Children's Learning and Development or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in speech, language, and fine motor development
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
