Level 2 Early Years Practitioner job in Walsall, starting in September

Hays Education are working in partnership with Primary School in Walsall to recruit a dedicated and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support their pre-school provision from September 2025.

Located in Walsall, this primary school is a vibrant and inclusive community school serving children aged 2 to 11 years. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of pre-school children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting a small group of children during morning sessions
  • Providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs in the afternoon
  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities based on individual abilities
  • Working closely with the class teacher and early years team to monitor progress
  • Promoting a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Has experience working with pre-school-aged children
  • Is confident in supporting children with additional needs
  • Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is passionate about early years education and child development.
