Hays are delighted to represent a nationwide manufacturing company, currently recruiting a Legal Counsel to join their evolving legal team in Craigavon.
Your new role
This is a truly exciting opportunity to join the legal team of a dynamic manufacturing company. You will work closely with colleagues across a group of companies providing timely, sound, commercially focused legal advice on a range of commercial agreements of varying complexity, major projects, transactions, procurement, trademarks, GDPR, civil litigation and regulatory matters.
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including NDAs, amendments to standard terms and conditions of purchase and bespoke agreements.
• Advising on and managing a wide range of legal issues including civil litigation and regulatory matters.
• Evaluating and weighing multiple inputs/impacts of decisions/courses of action and identifying proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
• Assisting with continued development of compliance programme and advising on ad hoc compliance related queries (e.g. competition law, anti-bribery and corruption, conflict of interest)
• Performing other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will be a solicitor or barrister with ideally 2+ years post qualified experience within a commercial environment. You will also:
• Have the ability to manage a wide range of legal issues and accustomed to finding commercial solutions to legal problems.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial & procurement contracts,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships and relate to clients at all levels of the business.
