Hays Education Recruitment is seeking Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of secondary schools in Manchester and nearby areas. Jobs include general classroom support, learning support, and one-to-one support for students with additional needs. Flexible short-term and long-term placements available.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support for whole-class teaching and small-group activities
• Deliver one-to-one interventions and personalised learning support
• Assist teachers with planning and adapting resources to meet student needs
• Support behaviour management to maintain a positive learning environment
• Offer pastoral support to build student confidence and independence

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a professional school team
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to adapt to different school settings
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE) are advantageous but not required.
