Are you passionate about supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Hays Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work in a specialist secondary school in Marple. This full-time role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will work closely with pupils aged 11–16 who face barriers to learning due to SEMH challenges, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and other complex needs. Your role will involve supporting students in the classroom, helping them regulate behaviour, engage with learning, and build confidence and resilience.

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, or other special educational needs
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour management
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
