Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School | Blackpool | Immediate Start
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have experience supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities? We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Blackpool, starting as soon as possible.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 support for students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Lead or assist with small group interventions, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement personalised support plans.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or SEND setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent).
Experience with EHCPs, autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
