Your new role

As a Learning & Organisational Development Business Partner, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic OD and learning initiatives. You’ll partner with defined business areas to provide expert advice and drive key projects aligned with the organisation’s people strategy. This includes leadership development, performance management, coaching, employee engagement, and digital learning innovation.
You’ll manage complex change programmes, develop tailored frameworks for workforce development, and act as a change champion across the organisation. You’ll also be responsible for designing and delivering accredited leadership programmes, facilitating masterclasses, and evaluating the impact of learning interventions. The role involves stakeholder engagement at all levels, budget management, and contributing to the development of HR policies and procedures.


What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A degree in a relevant subject and CIPD Level 5 qualification.

  • Associate CIPD membership (with a commitment to achieving Chartered status within 6 months).

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Learning & Development or OD role.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering OD interventions and learning programmes.

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience conducting learning needs analysis and evaluating training effectiveness.

  • Excellent project management and analytical skills.

  • Advanced digital and IT skills to create tailored learning solutions.

  • A full UK driving licence or access to transport to meet job requirements.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the public sector or local government.

  • Recognised teaching/training qualification.

  • Assessor/Internal Verifier qualification.
