Developer

• Location: Lowestoft
• Length: 6 months
• Rate: £500-£600 per day (Inside IR35)

I'm currently recruiting for a Developer contract role within a public sector organisation. The position sits within a collaborative digital and technology team, working on complex software solutions using C# , .NET , Blazor , and SQL Server , with a strong focus on Agile/DevOps methodologies.

The role involves:

• Designing and developing new software and functionality
• Supporting and maintaining existing systems
• Engaging in peer reviews and ensuring compliance with internal standards
• Potential involvement in training delivery and documentation

We're particularly looking for candidates with:

• Experience in Microsoft technologies (.NET, Blazor, SQL Server)
• Exposure to cloud platforms and emerging technologies like Microsoft Fabric
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• A background in Agile development environments

This is a hybrid role , with around 60% on-site work expected. The contract is expected to run potentially until the end of FY 25/26 .

They have asked for candidates who have previously held any form of security clearance (e.g., SC, DV, BPSS)? The client would need to arrange clearance before you can access their systems, the process can be accelerated if you’ve held clearance through other government or similar contracts in the recent past.

Alternatively, if you have an updated CV that clearly states any existing or previous security clearance, that would be really helpful to move things forward.
