Lab Analyst, 6-month contract, Bridge of Don Aberdeen

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Laboratory Technician to join our clients in Bridge of Don Aberdeen.

Your new role
This is a full-time role based in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen. Your usual working pattern will be 8.30am until 4.30pm, but be flexible with working other shift patterns when required. You will work closely with our Team Leader, Senior Analyst, and Analyst Grade 1 to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, deliver high-quality results, and support junior colleagues through mentorship and training. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example, uphold our QHSE standards, and contribute to exciting projects that make a real impact. Prepare reports ensuring these are proofread and signed by an appropriate authorised signatory. You will carry out analytical tasks and equipment calibrations to meet client and technical standards.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be required to hold a Degree/HNC/HND in a science discipline. Previous experience working in an UKAS accredited laboratory would also be preferred.
Experience in computer programs such as MS Office and data entry/recording. Be willing to be “hands on” when working at all levels.
A positive attitude, the ability to develop and initiate new procedures, a high tolerance for job pressure and the ability to work and communicate with diverse personalities. Have a flexible approach to working hours.
