KYC Analyst Quality Assurance SME

A leading global bank is looking for an experienced professional to join their team in a temporary capacity, focusing on quality assurance within KYC (Know Your Customer) operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. It offers the chance to influence quality standards and strengthen the compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Review

  • Conduct reviews of KYC files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Perform sample-based quality checks and document findings.
  • Develop and enforce quality assurance standards aligned with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and CDD (Customer Due Diligence) requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of reviews, corrective actions, and resolutions.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Act as an escalation point for complex or high-risk cases, providing expert guidance.
  • Identify compliance risks and escalate to senior management, supporting remediation plans.
  • Ensure practices remain aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and best practices.

Process Improvement

  • Recommend enhancements to KYC quality assurance processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Collaborate with teams such as Compliance, Risk Management, and Operations to streamline workflows.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and present quality assurance reports and metrics for senior stakeholders.
  • Highlight trends, risk areas, and propose actionable steps for improvement.

Training & Development

  • Deliver training sessions on quality standards, regulatory updates, and best practices.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to team members to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA) are preferred.
  • Strong experience in KYC/AML compliance or quality assurance within financial services, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
