KS4 Teaching Assistant | Blackburn | Temporary ongoing | Full-time

Your new company

Hays Education is working with a high school in Blackburn to recruit a committed KS4 Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students during a crucial stage of their education.

Your new role

In this role, you will provide classroom support across Key Stage 4, working closely with teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and students remain engaged. You will also deliver targeted interventions for pupils who need additional help, particularly in preparation for GCSE exams. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom management, supporting small groups, and offering one-to-one guidance to help students achieve their academic goals.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for someone with experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally within KS4. Strong communication skills, the ability to motivate learners, and a proactive, flexible approach are essential. Experience supporting students with exam preparation or lower-level abilities would be highly beneficial.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a competitive daily rate, ongoing support from your dedicated Hays consultant, and access to free training and development opportunities. This is a chance to make a real impact in a thriving school environment.
