KS2 Teaching Assistant – Mornings Only – Newcastle

Primary Teaching Assistant (Level 3) – KS2
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Employer: Hays Education
Hours: 08:30 – 13:00, Monday to Friday
Contract: Until the end of the academic year
Qualification Required: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate and qualified Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in Key Stage 2? Hays Education is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in KS2 during the morning hours, helping them thrive academically and socially.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting the class teacher with daily activities and learning objectives
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to boost engagement and understanding
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
What we’re looking for:
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within KS2
  • A proactive, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
