KS2 Teacher, Wigan area, from £125 per day

Your new company

Hays Education are currently in partnership with a number of schools in the Wigan area who are seeking a KS2 Teacher to support them with their immediate needs and long-term cover. These schools have a curriculum that is personalised, engaging and challenging and ensures all children have a wide range of enriching and academic experiences. All schools are easily accessible via major roads and public transport.

Your new role

In this job role, you will be responsible for a KS2 class, so you will be taking on all the planning, preparation and marking/assessing of work. You will need to ensure that the children remain engaged and are constantly growing academically. These roles are on a full-time basis and will be suited to those who have a passion for primary school teaching. The school will be looking for somebody who is adaptable and interested in teaching a class of different abilities. You should be confident in building strong relationships with staff, pupils and parents as communication is key in this role.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is preferred. However, this could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.

What you'll get in return

This is a fantastic opportunity, working in some excellent schools. You’ll receive:
  • A day rate from £110 per day in addition to holiday pay
  • Free CV consultation with a dedicated education consultant to support your career goals
  • Access to the Hays App, where you can access your timesheets, holiday booking system, free training, well-being courses and a range of discounts and cash-back deals
  • A dedicated Hays consultant
