Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for covering the KS2 classes and, in most cases, you will be delivering pre-planned lessons, or sometimes your own lessons for longer-term roles. You will be responsible for managing the classroom and ensuring all pupils are on task, as well as ensuring all behaviour is appropriate.

By being in this role, you should be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils. You may be required to mark the work from the lessons you cover. In most schools there will also be the support of experienced TA’s in the classroom whom you will be working with.
