KS2 Teacher role in Walsall, Starting in September

Are you an experienced KS2 Teacher with a passion for supporting children through their crucial final years of primary education?

A Junior School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025, with a focus on Years 5 and 6. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a vibrant and inclusive community school.

This junior school is a community primary school for children aged 7 to 11, located in the heart of Walsall. The school has a strong emphasis on differentiated learning, SEND support, and community engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Teach across Years 5 and 6, delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs, including targeted revision and assessment strategies.
Plan and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
Simplify complex concepts to ensure accessibility and understanding for all pupils.
Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support individual and group learning.
Conduct regular assessments, track progress, and use data to inform planning.
Write detailed pupil reports and participate in parents’ evenings.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).
Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks.
Experience working with children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
