Hays Education are currently recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in North Somerset. This part-time maternity cover role begins in September 2025 and will run until the Christmas holidays, with the potential for extension. You will be working 3 days per week, making it ideal for those seeking a better work-life balance or looking to pair this with other teaching opportunities.

Your new role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to a KS2 class, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role includes teaching core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, while supporting pupils’ academic and personal development. This position is suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or PGCE)
• Recent teaching experience within the last 5 years
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to pupil progress
