The Department
The SEND department is a forward-thinking team who are focused on providing a holistic educational experience for all students. We work closely with families and external agencies ensuring that our students, particularly those with additional needs, are involved in all aspects of Academy life. This is achieved through demonstrating the Academy values through person centred practices and ensuring provision meets the needs of students.

The role
We are looking for an experienced KS2 SEN teacher to support in the delivery of an SEN (Nurture) group for students with significant cognitive and learning difficulties. You will have the skills and developed practice to support students with complex needs at KS3 to access the curriculum.

You should have:
* Substantial recent experience of teaching students with special needs including autism
* Experience of working in KS2
* Experience of working effectively with young people who present with a range of challenging behaviour
* Evidence of successful inter-agency and multi-agency partnership working including with parents/carers
* Demonstrable success in promoting the general progress and well-being of students with SEND
* Ability to advise and guide colleagues on SEN and SEMH needs
