EYFS/KS1 Teaching Jobs, Wigan Primary Schools, from £100 per day

Your new company

Hays education works with several schools in the Wigan area on a partnership basis, filling their daily supply needs. As we race towards the October half-term, we are looking to take on more teachers and support schools with their recruitment needs.

Perhaps you don’t have anything secured for after half-term, or maybe you’re looking for a better work-life balance? Supply teaching can offer you the potential to secure long-term and permanent roles or provide you with flexibility to work days that suit you. You also don't have the added stress of taking the work home with you.

Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for covering classes across KS1, in day-to-day roles, these lessons will be pre-planned, so it is all about making sure they are delivered in an engaging and exciting way to the pupils. If you are ever required on a short or long-term basis, then you will be expected to plan for these lessons, so you will need to be flexible in your approach to ensure the curriculum is met depending on the classes you will be covering.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, hold qualified teacher status (QTS) gained in the UK. You will need to be able to manage groups of children and be able to manage challenging behaviour. This could be a perfect role for an NQT/ECT that is looking to gain some experience working within the primary school environment.

What you'll get in return

This is a fantastic opportunity, working in some excellent schools. You’ll receive:
  • A day rate from £100 per day in addition to holiday pay
  • Free CV consultation with a dedicated education consultant to support your career goals
  • Access to the Hays App, where you can access your timesheets, holiday booking system, free training, well-being courses and a range of discounts and cash-back deals
  • A dedicated Hays consultant
