KS1 Teacher job in Walsall, Starting in September

Are you a passionate and experienced KS1 Teacher looking for a new opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking school?

This school is looking for a KS1 Teacher to start with them in September. The roles and responsibilities are:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across the KS1 curriculum, ensuring all pupils are engaged and making progress.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that are creative, differentiated, and aligned with national standards.
  • Teach phonics effectively using structured schemes such as Read Write Inc or Letters and Sounds.
  • Liaise closely with the Teaching Assistant to support individual and group learning needs.
  • Conduct formative and summative assessments, track pupil progress, and use data to inform planning.
  • Write detailed pupil reports and contribute to parents’ evenings, offering clear insights into pupil development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community and events.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
