Your new role

We are currently recruiting for a full-time KS1 class teacher to join an ambitious and inclusive two-form entry primary school in Coventry. This long-term position begins in January and will run through to the end of the academic year. The school is open to assigning the specific KS1 year group based on the successful candidate’s strengths and preferences. You will take full responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing learning, supported by a collaborative team and a forward-thinking leadership structure.

• Create engaging and purposeful lessons that nurture curiosity and build foundational skills
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues to support a thriving learning environment
• Deliver the school’s curriculum with creativity and adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and promote a positive classroom culture
• Participate in the wider life of the school, including team meetings and school-wide events
• Contribute to a warm, community-driven school where every child is celebrated and supported

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1
• Confidence in delivering the full primary curriculum, with a flexible approach to year group assignment
• A nurturing and adaptable teaching style, with strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Availability to start in January and commit to a full-time role
