Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team to start in September on a full-time temporary basis.
The school sets high expectations of staff and pupils, and is looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of literacy, numeracy and other core subjects across Key Stage 1. You will work alongside the class teachers to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment for all pupils. You will be expected to hold small groups to assist in learning and build strong constructive relationships with your new pupils.

-Foster a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
-Help children develop socially, emotionally and academically
-Assist with classroom management and the preparation of learning materials
-Work 1:1 with children who have additional needs

What you'll need to succeed

-Full DBS on the update service
-An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not required.
-Skills in communication, literacy & numeracy
-Attributes such as patience, empathy, creativity, and flexibility
-Experience of working with children, preferably in an early year setting
