Junior Scrum Master

A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for a Junior Scrum Master to support a cross-functional Agile delivery team on an internal Agile transformation programme.

Based in Hatfield (Hybrid 2/3 days per week)
Inside IR35
Up to £300 per day
To start ASAP until end of 2026

You will facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove day-to-day impediments, and help the team stay focused on sprint goals.
The role is centred on promoting collaboration, enabling steady delivery, and embedding continuous improvement practices within a Scrum team environment.

Experience Required
  • 2–3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master or Agile team facilitator within an IT delivery environment
  • Working knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
  • Understanding of software delivery lifecycle (requirements, development, testing)
  • Experience using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, Confluence, MS Teams, and/or Miro
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Collaborative, team-focused approach with good problem-solving ability
  • Ability to maintain team focus and escalate issues appropriately
  • Scrum certification (PSM I, CSM or equivalent) desirable but not essential

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Support the team in meeting sprint commitments and maintaining delivery momentum
  • Identify, track, and remove day-to-day impediments impacting the team
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-maintained and prioritised backlog
  • Provide clear visibility of progress, team capacity, and blockers to stakeholders
  • Encourage collaboration, transparency, and effective communication
  • Promote continuous improvement through feedback, retrospectives, and incremental changes
  • Support adoption of Agile best practices (e.g. Definition of Done/Ready, quality focus)
  • Contribute to improved delivery predictability, team engagement, and overall performance
