A leading manufacturer within aerospace, defence, and marine sectors is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join their Engineering team. Role Summary
The Junior Project Engineer will support the Test and Qualification team in executing product validation activities. The role involves managing technical documentation, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the successful delivery of qualification programmes. Over time, the position will evolve into a multidisciplined engineering role with a strong focus on product qualification and technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, track, and execute short- and long-term project tasks, ensuring timely delivery
- Develop and implement test plans; participate in testing activities when appropriate and safe
- Interpret complex technical requirements and translate them into actionable qualification plans
- Compile qualification evidence from legacy and current product lines
- Liaise with engineering, production, finance, and other departments to align project goals
- Conduct risk assessments, including Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA)
- Identify inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote a safety-first culture across all activities
- Engage in professional development through training, mentoring, and self-led learning
- Stay informed on relevant technologies, standards, and industry best practices

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline
- 0–2 years of industrial engineering experience (internships or placements welcome)
Additional Requirements
Due to the nature of this role and the requirement for Security Check (SC) clearance, applicants must be British citizens eligible for UK security vetting.
